Paros
Getting there:
We got the ferry from Mykonos! Booking ferries is very easy. I did this beforehand through HOME - FAST FERRIES
PAROS
Paros is SOOO beautiful and we just had so much fun as a family!!!
We hired two quads - but they were SO massive the fours of us just jumped on one. We spent our days quadding around the island, hanging on the beach and exploring the incredible town.
The food, the culture, the people, the shopping just WOW!
WHERE TO STAY
I always find this the most challenging! It can be so overwhelming, as I know how important it is to pick the right spot - I feel like this can make or break your experience.
Naoussa: I think you absolutely can’t go wrong if you find a place to stay in the heart of Naoussa - being walking distance to town beach, all of the restaurants and night life would be amazing. This is what we had planned on doing however on arrival, we rocked up to an airbnb that we were very disappointed by so had to quickly jump online and find a resort… This took us to a very different part of the island which definitely worked in our favour as we were able to experience another part of the island that we really fell in love with. But if you are here to party, or want the flexibilty to walk everywhere/catch buses then you need to stay in Naoussa!
Piso Livadi: You absolute gem. Perfect for families, that hire a car or quad bike to explore the island and happy to just drive into town to visit. Has the most beautiful old port and strip of restaurants.
From here we went to Punda Beach and Golden Beach, which we loved. The boys went on the sea biscuits and ate the fresh doughnuts made on the beach!
ACCOMODATION
Was incredible! The service was amazing! The resort itself was so beautiful, clean and well looked after. The boys LOVED the massive pool area!… and oh my goodness they had the best breakfast I have ever experienced in my whole entire life!!! After eating my breakfast each morning, I had to take a few slices of all their different cakes back with me for morning tea - I just couldn’t not - they were delicious!
I wish I got photos (haha), to be able to share with you all but clearly I was too busy just eating it all!
How to Get Around
I definitely recommend getting a car or a Quad Bike. If you are visiting during peak season you need to book before you get there. I am so glad we did that as they were all booked out when we got there. As we tried changing our quad to a car!
We used DK Scooters- and they were great to deal with. Once we got there, we communicated with them via WhatsApp.
things to do:
BOAT CRUISE:
If you are going to do a boat cruise anywhere in the Greek Islands while you are away than this is the island to do it!!!
One of our most favourite days of the whole trip. We explored caves, cliff jumped and had a homemade local lunch on the boat. Our captain even bought tomatoes from his own garden - so special!
GET LOST IN Lefkes:
This was all kinds of magic. The streets are just SO beautiful. and I loved seeing the locals sitting in their yards enjoying the slow life. It was just gorgeous.
